The system itself is simple to explain and hard to beat. Grind the slab open, pack every crack and joint with polyurea, roll the base coat, broadcast flake or silica to refusal, and lock it all under the UV-stable topcoat. Repair and grind outside
Exterior slabs usually need work first: polyurea in the cracks and joints, spall repair, then a full diamond grind of the surface.

Base and broadcast for grip
The polyurea base coat goes down and flake or silica is broadcast to refusal, building in the texture that keeps wet concrete walkable.

UV-stable topcoat
The polyaspartic topcoat is built for full sun and freeze-thaw. Walk on it the same day, drive on it in about 72 hours.

How does the coating hold up under months of snowpack?
Better than the concrete would on its own. Snow sitting on bare concrete melts into the pores by day and freezes by night, which is what spalls a slab. The coated surface is far less porous than bare concrete, so meltwater tends to shed off rather than soak in, and the flexible system rides out freeze-thaw cycles without cracking.
Is a coated surface safe to walk on with snow melting on it?
Yes. Grip is built into the finish itself: flake or silica broadcast to full refusal creates texture through the whole surface, not a coating sprayed on top. Wet boots on a coated porch hold better than on sealed bare concrete. We can dial texture up for steps and shaded north-side walkways.

About 72 hours, with foot traffic fine around 8. Because the cure is temperature-dependent, we pick install days inside a solid weather window and confirm timing with you before we start. Three days without parking on it is a fair trade for a finish under lifetime residential warranty.
Can you fix and coat an old cracked driveway, or does it need replacement?
Most cracked driveways up here are coating candidates, not tear-outs. We grind the surface clean, fill cracks and joints with polyurea, then build the system over sound concrete. Replacement only makes sense when a slab has failed structurally, and if yours has, we say so at the free measure.
