Moisture check and grind
We test the slab at your free estimate, then diamond-grind and fill cracks and joints with polyurea so the system bonds to clean, open concrete.

Base coat and broadcast
A polyurea base coat, then your flake or silica blend broadcast to full refusal. Light blends do serious work in a basement.

Topcoat, back downstairs
The polyaspartic topcoat cures for foot traffic in about 8 hours, so the basement is out of commission for about a day, not a week.

Our lake place gets a musty lower level every summer. Will coating fix it?
It removes the biggest contributor: raw concrete and carpet holding humid air's moisture. We check the slab at the estimate, and once it is ground and prepped the system tolerates normal lake-country moisture. Standing water or seepage is a different problem, and if we see signs of it we will tell you before you spend a dime.
How fast can we use the basement again?
Walk on it in about 8 hours, so the space is back in service the next morning. Give it about 72 hours before sliding heavy furniture, the wood stove tools, or gym equipment back in. Total household disruption is roughly one day of install, which matters when winter is already crowding everyone indoors.
What color works in a dark basement under all that snow cloud?
Go light. Pale flake blends and light silica colors throw your fixture light back into the room instead of absorbing it, which changes how a north-facing basement feels in January. We bring the samples to Sandpoint and set them on your slab so you judge them in your own light, not a showroom's.
Is it worth coating a small cabin basement?
Yes, and we take those jobs gladly; there is no job minimum. Small spaces up toward Hope or Schweitzer often see the hardest use per square foot: boots, gear, sleds, firewood.
