    Slab check and grind

    We check the slab at your free estimate before we coat, then diamond-grind and fill cracks and joints with polyurea so the system bonds to clean, open concrete.

  2. 02

    Base coat and broadcast

    A polyurea base coat, then your flake or silica blend broadcast to full refusal. Light blends do serious work in a basement.

  3. 03

    Topcoat, back downstairs

    The polyaspartic topcoat seals it. Walk on it in about 8 hours, so the basement is out of commission for about a day, not a week.

Basement floor questions in Spokane Valley

Can you do the basement and the shop floor in one go?

Often, yes, and it is the efficient way to buy it. We measure both spaces at the same free visit and write one fixed price. Depending on square footage the crew may split it across consecutive days, but you deal with one quote, one color decision, and one cleanup.

Will a spare freezer or a gun safe dent the coating?

Static weight is not the threat; dragging is, and even that mostly loses. The system is more abrasion-resistant than epoxy and broadcast to full refusal, so point loads distribute across a dense flake or silica matrix. Let the floor cure about 72 hours, then slide furniture pads under anything truly heavy and set it where you want it.

What if my Valley basement slab is damp?

We check the slab at the free estimate before we coat. What we will not do is coat over an active water problem and hope, so if the slab tells a bad story, you hear it first.

How soon after install can the kids use the basement?

Foot traffic is fine in about 8 hours, so it is back to being the playroom the next day. Hold off about 72 hours before returning heavy furniture or workout equipment. Most Spokane Valley installs wrap in a single day, so the whole disruption fits inside one school day plus an evening.

Do I pick flake or silica for a basement?

Flake is the classic look and hides everyday grit well; silica reads more like stone and comes in a wide spread of colors, including very light tones that brighten a dim basement. There is no wrong answer on performance, both get the same polyurea base and polyaspartic topcoat. We bring both sample sets to Spokane Valley and let the slab decide.
