Polyaspartic coated floor, the professional upgrade over epoxy
LOCAL SERVICEOn the daily Washington route

Epoxy floor coatings inSpokane Valley? Trade up.

The Valley is shop country: RV bays out by Otis Orchards, light-industrial floors along the river corridor, three-car garages in Greenacres. Floors that work for a living need more than epoxy. We install a polyurea base with a polyaspartic topcoat, licensed in Washington and out here daily.

01 / 05Working floors, harder coating

Epoxy cannot keep up with a working garage.

RV jacks, engine hoists, deicer drip lines the length of a motorhome. Valley floors get used hard, and epoxy shows every single bit of it.

02 / 05The upgrade

What we install instead.

Spokane Valley sits on our daily Washington route, and we hold full Washington licensing, so scheduling is fast and the paperwork is boring, the way it should be. Veteran owned, in-house crews only. From Liberty Lake to Veradale, the quote process is identical: free on-site measure, samples on your slab, one fixed written price with no surprise charges.

The build never changes: diamond grinding to open the concrete, polyurea filling every crack and joint, a polyurea base coat, flake or silica broadcast to full refusal, then the UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat. The lifetime warranty on home garages is in writing. Commercial and light-industrial floors carry a 15-year warranty, which still outlives most epoxy floors several times over.

  • 4x harder and more abrasion-resistant than epoxy
  • UV-stable: epoxy yellows in sunlight, polyaspartic never does
  • Cures in hours, not the days an epoxy install ties up your floor
  • Resists hot-tire pickup, the classic epoxy failure

The full polyaspartic vs epoxy breakdown
Bare concrete garage floor before a professional coating
03 / 05Your install

One crew, one day, most floors.

The same process on every slab we touch, whether it is next door or across town.

  1. 01

    Grind, never etch

Most epoxy kits rely on acid etching. We diamond-grind the concrete instead, the prep step that decides whether any coating lives or dies.

  2. 02

    Polyurea, not epoxy resin

The base coat is polyurea: stronger adhesion and more flexibility than epoxy resin, with your flake or silica broadcast into it to full refusal.

  3. 03

    Polyaspartic armor on top

A UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat cures in hours, not days. It is the layer that shrugs off hot tires, oil, and sun where epoxy fails.

04 / 05Common questions

Epoxy vs polyaspartic questions in Spokane Valley.

Was epoxy ever the right call for a shop floor?

It was the available call, which is different. Epoxy chips under point loads, clouds under deicer, and yellows under lights and sun. We install the successor: a polyurea base coat with a polyaspartic topcoat, roughly 4x harder and more abrasion resistant. And no, we do not install epoxy at all.

Can you handle an RV garage?

RV bays are common work for us in the Valley. Tall doors, long slabs, and heavy axle loads all favor the harder coating, and the flake broadcast hides tire marks between cleanings. We measure the bay free, quote a fixed price, and most are still one-day installs.

What warranty applies to a commercial floor?

Commercial and light-industrial floors carry a 15-year warranty; residential garages carry a lifetime warranty. Either way it is written down, not implied. Compare that with an epoxy shop floor, which in this climate is often a recoat-every-few-years arrangement dressed up as a finished product.

How much shop downtime should we plan for?

Plan on one day of install for most floors, walking traffic after about 8 hours, and vehicles or equipment back on the slab in about 72 hours. Larger light-industrial floors get a schedule in writing at the estimate. Call 208-500-1043 and we can look at the space this week.

There is already epoxy down. Do we pay extra to remove it?

Removal is part of the standard prep, not a surprise line item. We diamond-grind the old epoxy off to bare concrete, because bonding to a failed coating just buys its failure. The fixed written price covers grind-off, polyurea crack fill, base coat, broadcast, and topcoat. Nothing gets added after.
