Polyaspartic coated floor, the professional upgrade over epoxy
LOCAL SERVICENext door to home base

Epoxy floor coatings inPost Falls? Skip a generation.

Half the garages going up between Seltice Way and the Washington line will get a coating in the next few years. The smart ones skip epoxy entirely. We install a polyurea base with a polyaspartic topcoat: the system professionals moved to when epoxy kept failing.

01 / 05Epoxy versus this town

New concrete deserves better than old chemistry.

Post Falls is pouring new slabs faster than almost anywhere in Idaho, and a brand-new garage floor is the worst place to put a coating with a short lifespan.

02 / 05The upgrade

What we install instead.

We are based one town over in Coeur d'Alene, which makes Post Falls about the shortest drive on our schedule. Crews cover everything from Riverbend out to Hauser and across the Prairie, usually the same week you call. Veteran owned, in-house installers only, and a fixed written price before any grinder touches concrete.

Every floor gets the full system: diamond grinding, polyurea in the cracks and joints, a polyurea base coat, flake or silica broadcast to full refusal, and a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat over all of it. Pick from 13 flake blends or more than 1,700 silica colors, with samples we bring to your slab. Residential floors carry a lifetime warranty.

  • 4x harder and more abrasion-resistant than epoxy
  • UV-stable: epoxy yellows in sunlight, polyaspartic never does
  • Cures in hours, not the days an epoxy install ties up your floor
  • Resists hot-tire pickup, the classic epoxy failure

03 / 05Your install

One crew, one day, most floors.

The same process on every slab we touch, whether it is next door or across town.

  1. 01

    Grind, never etch

Most epoxy kits rely on acid etching. We diamond-grind the concrete instead, the prep step that decides whether any coating lives or dies.

  2. 02

    Polyurea, not epoxy resin

The base coat is polyurea: stronger adhesion and more flexibility than epoxy resin, with your flake or silica broadcast into it to full refusal.

  3. 03

    Polyaspartic armor on top

A UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat cures in hours, not days. It is the layer that shrugs off hot tires, oil, and sun where epoxy fails.

04 / 05Common questions

Epoxy vs polyaspartic questions in Post Falls.

I searched for epoxy. Is that what I am getting?

No, and that is on purpose. We install a polyurea base coat with a polyaspartic topcoat, which outperforms epoxy on hardness, abrasion, UV, and flexibility. Epoxy is what this system replaced. You get the floor you were picturing when you searched, minus the peeling and yellowing epoxy is known for.

Our house on the Prairie is brand new. When can the slab be coated?

New concrete has to finish curing before any coating goes down, and every builder pour is a little different. We check the slab at the free on-site measure and tell you straight whether it is ready or needs more time. No charge for the visit and no pressure either way: 208-500-1043.

Is this going to cost more than epoxy?

Against a weekend kit, yes. Against a professional epoxy install, it is usually close, and the polyaspartic floor is the last one you buy. Epoxy in this climate tends to get redone; our residential floors carry a lifetime warranty. The measure is free and the written price is fixed, with no surprise charges.

Why do the DIY epoxy kits fail so fast?

Thin material over unground concrete. The kits rely on acid etching, which does not open the slab enough for a real bond, and the epoxy layer is a fraction of the thickness a garage needs. Add hot tires and North Idaho freeze-thaw and the coating lets go, usually at the wheel spots first.

Can you really do the whole floor in one day?

For most residential garages, yes. Grind in the morning, polyurea crack fill and base coat by midday, flake broadcast to refusal, then the polyaspartic topcoat in the afternoon. Bigger shops out toward Hauser can run longer, and we will say so at the measure rather than surprise you on install day.
