Epoxy floor coatings inNampa? Work floors deserve tougher.
Nampa garages get used like shops because half of them are shops: welders, quads, project trucks, acreage equipment. Epoxy scratches, stains, and peels under that kind of duty. We install a polyurea base with a polyaspartic topcoat, from the Treasure Valley warehouse, covering all of Canyon County.
Epoxy is a showroom coat in a work town.
Between high desert sun, winter cold snaps, and floors that see real work, Nampa gives epoxy three different ways to fail and it takes all three.
- 01
Scars and gouges
Sliding a toolbox or dropping a hitch will scar epoxy white on the spot. Polyaspartic tests about four times harder and more abrasion resistant, which is the difference between a floor that shows its history and one that shrugs it off. On acreage places out toward Lake Lowell, that matters weekly.
- 02
Sun-baked driveways
Canyon County summers pour UV through every open garage door, and epoxy answers by turning yellow. Hot tires off the highway then peel it loose at the wheel spots. The polyaspartic topcoat is UV stable and heat tolerant, so neither failure ever gets started, no matter which way the driveway faces.
- 03
January cold snaps
When winter finally hits, it hits fast, and rigid epoxy cracks as slabs contract. Our polyurea base coat and polyurea-filled joints stay flexible through the freeze, then stand up to whatever deicer rides home from Caldwell on your tires. The system was chosen for climates that swing, and Nampa's does.
What we install instead.
Nampa runs on the same warehouse and crews as the rest of the Treasure Valley, with coverage across Canyon County: Caldwell, Middleton, Kuna, and everything around them. Veteran owned, in-house installers only. The estimate is free and happens at your slab, with real samples down on the concrete, and the price you sign is the price you pay.
The system does not change for a work floor, because it was built for one. We open the slab with diamond grinders, pack the cracks and joints with polyurea, roll on the polyurea base coat, then bury it in flake or silica before the UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat goes down. Choose from 13 flake blends or 1,700+ silica colors. One day for most installs, walkable in about 8 hours, drivable in about 72, lifetime residential warranty.
- 4x harder and more abrasion-resistant than epoxy
- UV-stable: epoxy yellows in sunlight, polyaspartic never does
- Cures in hours, not the days an epoxy install ties up your floor
- Resists hot-tire pickup, the classic epoxy failure

The same process on every slab we touch, whether it is next door or across town.
- 01
Grind, never etch
Most epoxy kits rely on acid etching. We diamond-grind the concrete instead, the prep step that decides whether any coating lives or dies.
- 02
Polyurea, not epoxy resin
The base coat is polyurea: stronger adhesion and more flexibility than epoxy resin, with your flake or silica broadcast into it to full refusal.
- 03
Polyaspartic armor on top
A UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat cures in hours, not days. It is the layer that shrugs off hot tires, oil, and sun where epoxy fails.
Epoxy vs polyaspartic questions in Nampa.
Straight answer: epoxy or not?
Not. Epoxy is what we remove; a polyurea base coat under a polyaspartic topcoat is what we install. It is roughly 4x harder, never yellows, flexes through freeze-thaw, and takes vehicle traffic in about 72 hours. If your search said epoxy, your floor still gets the better system.
Can it take real shop abuse?
That is the use case it wins hardest. Broadcast to full refusal, the floor resists dropped tools, oil, fuel, and drag marks that would scar epoxy immediately. Home shops and garages carry the lifetime residential warranty; commercial buildings near the Ford Idaho Center carry a 15-year warranty.
Do you cover Caldwell too?
All of Canyon County: Caldwell, Middleton, Kuna, and the acreage in between, all run from the Treasure Valley warehouse with no trip charge. Call 208-500-1043 and we will schedule a free on-site measure, usually inside the week, and leave you a fixed written price the same visit.
There is a stained old epoxy coat on my shop floor. Can you work with it?
We work with it by removing it. The grinders take the old epoxy down to bare concrete, stains and all, then the polyurea crack fill and base coat go onto a clean profile. Coating over failed epoxy fails; grinding it off is why ours holds. Removal is included in the quoted price.
How long is the floor out of service?
One install day for most garages and shops, then about 8 hours before foot traffic and about 72 hours before you park or roll equipment on it. That is the whole outage. Compare that to epoxy's multi-day cure and the schedule alone justifies the switch.
