Polyaspartic coated floor, the professional upgrade over epoxy
LOCAL SERVICEBoise warehouse · same-week installs

Epoxy floor coatings inBoise? The sun says no.

High desert sun is the fastest epoxy killer there is: it yellows the resin and heats tires enough to peel the coating right off the slab. From our Boise warehouse we install the fix, a polyurea base under a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat, usually the same week you call.

01 / 05High desert versus epoxy

Boise summers take epoxy apart.

Strong UV through an open garage door, tires rolling in hot off summer pavement, then a hard cold snap in January. Boise runs epoxy through the exact gauntlet it fails.

02 / 05The upgrade

What we install instead.

Our Boise warehouse runs full Treasure Valley coverage, so scheduling is usually same-week and there is never a trip charge, whether the job is in the North End, out in Star, or down on the Bench. Veteran owned, our own crews on every install, no subcontractors. The estimate is free, happens at your slab, and ends in a fixed written price.

Install day is one day for most homes. We diamond-grind the concrete, fill cracks and joints with polyurea, roll the polyurea base coat, broadcast your flake or silica to full refusal, and seal it with polyaspartic. Thirteen flake blends, 1,700+ silica colors, samples brought to your garage. Foot traffic that evening, vehicles back inside after about three days. Lifetime residential warranty.

  • 4x harder and more abrasion-resistant than epoxy
  • UV-stable: epoxy yellows in sunlight, polyaspartic never does
  • Cures in hours, not the days an epoxy install ties up your floor
  • Resists hot-tire pickup, the classic epoxy failure

The full polyaspartic vs epoxy breakdown
Bare concrete garage floor before a professional coating
03 / 05Your install

One crew, one day, most floors.

The same process on every slab we touch, whether it is next door or across town.

  1. 01

    Grind, never etch

Most epoxy kits rely on acid etching. We diamond-grind the concrete instead, the prep step that decides whether any coating lives or dies.

  2. 02

    Polyurea, not epoxy resin

The base coat is polyurea: stronger adhesion and more flexibility than epoxy resin, with your flake or silica broadcast into it to full refusal.

  3. 03

    Polyaspartic armor on top

A UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat cures in hours, not days. It is the layer that shrugs off hot tires, oil, and sun where epoxy fails.

04 / 05Common questions

Epoxy vs polyaspartic questions in Boise.

You come up when I search epoxy. Why?

Because epoxy is what people know to type, and what we install is its replacement. A polyurea base coat with a polyaspartic topcoat beats epoxy on hardness, UV stability, and cure speed, which are the three things Boise punishes. We never install epoxy. We install what took its job.

My neighbor's epoxy floor turned yellow. Does that happen faster here?

High desert UV makes Boise one of the tougher places to own an epoxy floor. The sun does not even have to hit the coating directly; reflected light through an open door is enough over time. Polyaspartic is UV stable, so yellowing is simply not a failure mode this system has.

How fast can you get to my garage?

Usually the same week. The warehouse is local and crews cover the whole Treasure Valley daily, from the foothills out to Middleton, with no trip charge anywhere in it. Call 208-500-1043, we will set the free measure, and most floors are installed in a single day once scheduled.

Is a DIY epoxy kit worth trying first?

In this climate the kits fail fast: acid etch instead of grinding, a thin film of resin, and Boise heat on top of it. A large share of the failed floors we grind off started as kits. Money spent there is money spent twice, because the fix begins with removing everything the kit left behind.

Does the coating handle oil and shop fluids?

Yes. The polyaspartic topcoat resists oil, fuel, road salt, and deicer, and a floor broadcast to full refusal has no thin spots for fluids to find. Wipe up drips whenever you get to them and the finish is unbothered. It is a shop-grade surface that happens to look good.
