Polyaspartic coated floor, the professional upgrade over epoxy
LOCAL SERVICEWeekly route north · no job minimum

Epoxy floor coatings inSandpoint? Snow country needs more.

Between Schweitzer runoff on the truck and five months of tracked-in snowmelt, a Sandpoint garage floor lives wet and cold. Epoxy hates both. Our polyurea base and polyaspartic topcoat were built for exactly this, and our crews run a regular weekly route north out of Coeur d'Alene.

Long winters wreck epoxy.

Hard freezes, deep snow, lake humidity the rest of the year. Around Lake Pend Oreille, epoxy fails on a schedule you can almost set a calendar by.

02 / 05The upgrade

What we install instead.

Sandpoint is a standing stop for us, not a special trip. Crews head north out of the Coeur d'Alene shop on a regular weekly route covering Dover, Hope, Priest River, and everything between. There is no job minimum, which matters up here: lake houses and seasonal places often need one small floor done right, not a warehouse project.

Whether it is a year-round home or a place you open in June, the system is identical: diamond grinding, polyurea crack and joint fill, polyurea base coat, flake or silica to full refusal, polyaspartic on top. Samples come to your slab, 13 flake blends and 1,700+ silica colors, fixed written price, lifetime warranty on residential floors.

  • 4x harder and more abrasion-resistant than epoxy
  • UV-stable: epoxy yellows in sunlight, polyaspartic never does
  • Cures in hours, not the days an epoxy install ties up your floor
  • Resists hot-tire pickup, the classic epoxy failure

The full polyaspartic vs epoxy breakdown
Bare concrete garage floor before a professional coating
03 / 05Your install

One crew, one day, most floors.

The same process on every slab we touch, whether it is next door or across town.

  1. 01

    Grind, never etch

Most epoxy kits rely on acid etching. We diamond-grind the concrete instead, the prep step that decides whether any coating lives or dies.

  2. 02

    Polyurea, not epoxy resin

The base coat is polyurea: stronger adhesion and more flexibility than epoxy resin, with your flake or silica broadcast into it to full refusal.

  3. 03

    Polyaspartic armor on top

A UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat cures in hours, not days. It is the layer that shrugs off hot tires, oil, and sun where epoxy fails.

04 / 05Common questions

Epoxy vs polyaspartic questions in Sandpoint.

Are you an epoxy company?

No. Epoxy is the product we get called to grind off. We install a polyurea base coat with a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat, which beats epoxy on hardness, flexibility, and cure speed. Around Lake Pend Oreille that last part matters: our system cures in conditions where epoxy simply will not.

We are only at the lake house in summer. Can you coat while we are away?

We can schedule around an empty house. Plenty of seasonal owners have us in during spring or fall: the crew needs garage access, power, and a signed fixed-price agreement, and you come back to a finished floor. Call 208-500-1043 and we will slot you into the weekly northern route.

Is a small garage worth your drive from Coeur d'Alene?

Yes. There is no job minimum on the Sandpoint route, because the route runs every week regardless. A single-car garage in Dover gets the same grind, the same polyurea base coat, and the same lifetime residential warranty as a three-bay in town gets.

The previous owner put down epoxy and it is flaking. Now what?

It all comes off. We diamond-grind back to bare concrete, because a new coating is only as good as what it is stuck to, and flaking epoxy is stuck to nothing. Then cracks and joints get filled with polyurea and the full system goes down as if the old coat was never there.

Will heavy winters shorten the coating's life?

Winter is what it is built for. The polyurea base flexes through freeze-thaw, the topcoat shrugs off road salt, deicer, and snowmelt, and nothing in the system yellows or clouds. Snow country is hard on epoxy, not on this. Residential floors are warrantied for life, winters included.
